Switching from Extended to Duplicated Display Mode
🔄 What’s the Difference?
-
Extended Mode: Treats each screen as a separate display. Great for multitasking but confusing during presentations.
-
Duplicate Mode: Mirrors your main screen onto the projector or second monitor. Ideal for teaching and presentations.
🔍 Symptoms That Suggest You Need Duplicate Mode
Instructors may need to switch to Duplicate mode if they experience any of the following:
- The projector or classroom screen is blank or shows only the desktop wallpaper.
- The mouse cursor disappears when moved to the projector screen.
- The presentation or video is visible only on the instructor’s monitor, not the classroom screen.
- Students say they can’t see what’s being presented.
- The instructor is dragging windows to the side to make them appear on the projector.
